More than thirty years ago, received an assignment to step away from teaching and graduate school, gain real-world industry experience, and return with a concise, engineered, plug-and-play standard capable of transforming education. The standard was to be named HQ (High Quality) because children are our most important resource.
The HQ Education Standard is a one-page document — concise, memorable, and powerful. It is not a curriculum. It is not an instructional method. It is a quality standard — a systematic framework that identifies and manages the interrelated processes required to ensure every child succeeds.
Modeled after the ISO quality management system used in world-class manufacturing, the HQ Education Standard applies the same zero-tolerance-for-failure principles to K-12 education. It is designed to be adopted at the state level and implemented district by district — leaving every curriculum and instructional choice in district hands.
